The extraordinary journey of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, which began in 1963 with just 20 regimental schools, has transformed into a vast network of 1,289 Kendriya Vidyalayas, illuminating the nation with the light of exceptional education.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Khammam situated in Poleppalli village ,Near Karunagiri in Khammam was established in the academic year 2007-08 from Classes I to V under Civil sector in order to cater to the educational needs of children of Central government employees and others. The Vidyalaya has now grown up to Class XII with 1259 students on roll. There are three sections in the secondary section that is from Classes I to IX and two section in Classes X and XII , Students of the Higher Secondary opt for the Science Stream The Vidyalaya has now got a newly constructed spacious building with all facilities. The demand for admissions is very high with a large number of pupils wanting to seek admission. Looking at the trend, one can be sure of its swift progress in the years to come. Enthusiastic students, well informed and co-operative parents, concerned management, hardworking and qualified staff strive to take the Vidyalaya to new heights.
